Wellness Week at Roosevelt High

On Day 1 of our Wellness Week with Roosevelt High School we held a presentation on emotions, identifying those emotions, how to manage them and positive self talk.

It was a very interactive and fun opportunity for us to have the students really reflect inward and walk away with tangible coping skills.

On Day 2 we took over the lunch periods at Roosevelt High School to host a Wellness Fun Day as a grand finale for their Wellness Week!

The event featured music and dancing, emphasizing how movement and music are great tools for promoting mental health.

Students participated in a “Trash Your Fears” activity, where they could write down their fears and dispose of them, earning a chance to win a raffle. They also wrote down things they were grateful for, receiving a swag bag as a reward.

Additionally, students contributed positive affirmations to our Affirmation Wall and were treated to popcorn.

Overall, the students were highly engaged and had an amazing time!
